Global Freight Awards 2014
As we move into October, we get closer to the 19th November, the date of the event that the entire logistics industry looks forward to, the glitz & glamour of the “Global Freight Awards” ceremony hosted by a different celebrity each year. This event is an opportunity for the recognition of influential key players, within the industry, who have been proactive in their achievements during the year.
The categories remain the same as preceding years:

Here we take a look at some of the awards and the finalists who have been shortlisted.
Innovation Award
The finalists are: Advanced Supply Chain (ASC), CMA CGM, Damco, Ligentia and Munters.
The award that recognises products or services which tackle the “norm” in an innovative way. Therefore augmenting old methods, introducing more cost effective routes, and introducing a service or product that will revolutionise the clients’ way of thinking.
Supply Chain Partnership Award
The finalists are: Allport Cargo Services, FedEx Trade Networks, Knights of Old , Pentalver, Samskip Multimodal and Yusen Logistics
The winner of this category is acknowledged for their smart partnerships and should be used as an example to show the rest of the industry how to create customer value.
We are delighted to see that one of our members Knights of Old is shortlisted and wish them luck
Employer of the Year Award
This award is given in appreciation to the organisation that has encouraged its staff by way of skills training and personal development together with investing in their employees and offering achievement programmes for further growth.
The finalists for this category are: CMA CGM, Crane Worldwide Logistics and DB Schenker Logistics.
Again, we are thrilled to see another member of Whichwarehouse shortlisted. Good luck to DB Schenker.
So we hope that everyone will be grabbing their “glad rags” and glamming themselves up for this event and enjoying a drink (or 2!). Our congratulations go to all the finalists of this year’s awards and good luck to all involved. All certainly deserve the recognition that this Awards Ceremony brings.
