Unlike a traditional brokerage, whichwarehouse helps businesses find warehousing, third-party logistics (3PL) providers and associated services i.e. transport, fulfilment and distribution that match their requirements. Whether you need short-term overflow storage, a dedicated warehouse or vehicle parking, whichwarehouse has access to over 3,500+ 3PLs across the UK and Ireland.

The service is designed for businesses of all sizes. This includes start-ups looking for their first fulfilment partner, growing companies needing scalable warehouse space during peak seasons, and international businesses requiring bonded storage or container devanning/decanting services.

Rather than spending weeks or even months contacting multiple warehouses individually, businesses can submit one enquiry and receive tailored quotes from suitable warehousing providers with many offering immediate availability. This allows companies to compare costs, locations, services and operational capabilities in one place.

How whichwarehouse’s Matching Service Works

Submit a Free Quote Request

Image of Get Free Quotes form to be completed for warehousing and 3PL quotes. The matching process begins by completing the Get Free Quotes form on whichwarehouse or by emailing [email protected] with your requirements.

Businesses are asked to provide key contact details, including:

  • Contact Name
  • Company name
  • Phone number
  • Email address

You will also select the type of service you require, including:

  • A 3PL provider to manage warehousing and fulfilment
  • Warehouse space to operate yourself
  • Vehicle parking

Answering the questions in as much detailed information as possible helps ensure more accurate and relevant warehouse quotes. This includes:

  • Required amount of pallet space/sq. ft.
  • Preferred warehouse location
  • Storage and fulfilment services required
  • Product type
  • Whether goods are stackable or require racking
  • Any additional requirements such as container devanning or bonded storage

The WAM System

Once the enquiry has been received, the whichwarehouse team reviews the requirements and uploads the details into the WAM system.

  • Cost per pallet per week
  • Total cost per month
  • Fulfilment pricing
  • Container devanning charges
  • Additional handling or storage services

The enquiry is then distributed anonymously to whichwarehouse members across the network. Sending the enquiry to all members helps ensure businesses receive competitive pricing and access to a wide range of warehousing capabilities that can stand out from those within the preferred location.Image of how members submit a quote through the whichwarehouse system.

Warehouse providers can review the enquiry, submit pricing and add comments relating to their services, experience and availability. Some members will also include their company details for direct contact.

In most cases, warehouses are given up to three working days to respond, depending on the urgency of the enquiry. Same day and next day responses are available on request.

Reviewing and Shortlisting Warehouses

Once the quoting period has ended, the client receives a link containing all submitted warehouse quotes from our WAM account. whichwarehouse’s team can offer support in understanding the quotations provided.Interior of warehousing with racked pallet storage.

The quotes typically include:

  • Pricing information
  • Warehouse location
  • Additional comments from the warehouse provider

Businesses can then review and compare the options before shortlisting the warehouses they would like to speak with directly. The client must ensure the warehouses turn green when selected so the shortlist is submitted correctly, as this is a live system that may take a few seconds to update.

After either a warehouse or warehouses have been shortlisted by the client and confirmed, the client’s contact details are shared with the selected provider so discussions can continue directly. If required, whichwarehouse can also follow up with warehouses to encourage contact and help move the process forward.
