Warehousing and Fulfilment Services in Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan home county. The ceremonial county’s largest town is Milton Keynes, although it has its own unitary authority and so does not come under any county council control. The county town is instead Aylesbury; while the county council’s administrative area is divided into the districts of Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, South Bucks and Wycombe.

It’s close proximity to London means Buckinghamshire is well served by a number of major transport links. Four motorways pass through the county – the M40 (to High Wycombe and Beaconsfield in the south), the M1 (to Milton Keynes in the north), the M25 and the M4 – as do four important A roads – notably the A40, which continues into central London. The West Coast, Great Central, Chiltern and Great Western Main Lines all pass through the county, along with the Princes Risborough to Aylesbury, Marston Vale and Marlow Branch Lines.

The currently under development Crossrail service should be linked to Ivers from 2017.

By the same card, however, the lack of commuters heading to London in that direction means there are few major road links between the north and the south of Buckinghamshire.
