Bermondsey Warehouse to Become White Cube Art Gallery

Leading art dealer Jay Jopling, the name behind the prestigious White Cube galleries, has lodged a planning application to transform a derelict warehouse in south London into the latest must-see art gallery and exhibition space.

Jopling’s holding company, MYJ Services Ltd, has made the application to Southwark Council, to make the 2,278 square metre Bermondsey warehouse his fourth White Cube – the first being a small gallery in Duke Street, which opened in 1993 and is now no more, and the second being the larger White Cube in Hoxton Square. Cadbury Sells Massive Chilled Warehouse Complex

One of the biggest chilled warehouses in Europe was sold this week by chocolate giant Cadbury.

The massive distribution centre in Birmingham’s Midpoint Park went for £24.7 million to US-based Cabot Properties. At 403,000 square feet, the warehouse represents an excellent opportunity for any enterprise looking for chilled storage space in the UK, and is also the first time that Cabot has made a purchase in the British property market.
